  Biography
Chiha (Medicinal plant Wormwood) was born in the southern Tunisian desert in the oasis Degache. Since her youth she has been writing poems and songs.

In 1968 she was discovered by the Tunisian president Bourguiba who provided her with a scholarship for the Tunis conservatory. There she studied Andalusian-Arabic classical music and the art of Nubat (Malouf). With the Tunisian national orchestra Chiha performed on tours through the Maghreb countries and France.

In 1971 it was love which lead her to Germany - a love-story which inspired her for her song "Oh Mami, ich bin verliebt in einen fremden Mann" (Oh mum, I'm in love with a stranger). Family responsibilities made her pause for quite a while in her artistic career. During that interval she sang only for friends and wrote songs about her experiences in Germany.

In 2000 Chiha was discovered by the record company ""United One records". Her first CD with this label became a great success. It was sold all over the world. Soon performances on the radio and on TV followed as well as tours to Japan, United States, Italy, Latvia, Usbekistan and other countries. Chiha enchants her audience. Some of her songs move listeners to tears......

Chiha is singing of peace and love which are her desire for mankind.
